I don’t think WEIS was a safe maker …but just a distributor …. I’m surprised the DAY DOOR lock had more than 3 levers..and ‘notched’……I think that is unusual. I think the safe is HHM (Herring Hall Marvin) and they started around 1892. I hope that helps….This safe almost looks like it was transitioning from The OLD HALL’s Safe & Lock Company to the Herring Hall Marvin(HHM)…the DIAL looks like the OLD Hall’s….but I’m assuming it is NOT Stamped on the dial….The paint striping is Similar to the HHM…..I think the later HHM safes used a YALE combination and also had some stamped HHM…but the wheel pack is typical of the OLD HALL’s…
Hope that helps…..but I still don’t believe this safe was made by WEIS…It’s surely an HHM safe…. |
