biometric key handgun safe

I've been considering purchasing a handgun safe with a fingerprint biometric lock. I understand the limits of the box construction, bolting teh box down, etc. What about the "key"? Any experience with false positive (fingerprint other than owner opens lock) or false hegative (owner gets locked out) issues? Other than convenience, is it any better or worse than a key or combination dial? Thanks.
