Sounds like you probably have a Mosler MR302 lock. Could be any of a number of things wrong from a broken lever spring, slipped wheel, broken wheel, etc. Magnets are useless since this lock probably has Delrin (plastic) wheels. Your best bet is have a competent safe tech check it for you.
