Thanxs for the response Bill, point well taken, sounds like you're a married man as well. Mental health in the family overrides all else. Our technician here quotes (and rightly so I suppose) a fee more than what the safe would be worth if opened. Thats not a road I can presently go down, hence my dilemma. Well, always did like a good TV show, but I'm beginning to see (and hear!) that the stethoscope is not going to work. I was hoping that it might be so old they would be audible. Apparently not. Anyways, perhaps I'll have to cut in from the back/bottom (another dumb idea?), or relegate it's use as a doorstop. I'll take your two words to heart. Cheers...Bill
