Michael you've gone over a couple of possible choices of action, but you left out the most obvious, which would be to pay a lock or safe company for the service. If you take a drill to the lock you might not have much of it left afterwards, but if you already own a drill it won't cost anything. You can buy every old key you see on eBay and end up with dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of keys that don't work.
