You either have the correct combination and you're dialing it incorrectly or You have the wrong combination and are dialing correctly or You have the correct combination, you're dialing correctly, and there's a mechanical problem in the lock. There are a variety of turning sequences for older safe combinations, such as 5-4-3-2-1 or 4-3-2-1, as well as variances in turning directions (left-right-left-right, or vice-versa). A safe technician can visit you and sort this out if you aren't able to do it. Ken Dunckel Safecracker Boxman
