Most of these type box doors have a lip on the hinge side that kocks the door in place so taking the hinge pivot rod out would do no good. Antiques like this are neat to find and always seems like a good idea when they are purchased. Surly you think it would be cheap to just fix a few little things, so it's definately worth it. Pricing varies from region to region, city to city and even shop to shop. In this area, you would pay someone $85 service call to come out, $125 per hour to open the doors with no keys and $45-$65 per lock to fit a key to the renter side of each. |
