Thanks Ken and Tom but after spending another two hours I am still unable to open the safe. I have uploaded a picture of the safe here: poughkeepsieschools.info/safe.jpg In the picture you can clearly see two distinct marks on the ring outside the dial. I have tried using both marks as well as reversing the directions to no avail. If anyone has an additional advice I would appreciate it. Is it possible that the safe is 'broken'? If I decide to take it to a reputable locksmith what kinds of fee would I be looking at to examine the safe and either get it open or determine its broken. |
