Ron there is a man named Mark Swetland in Cheektowaga who is an expert safe lock manipulator. Mark's Safe & Vault Service Call him at 716-634-3643. If he checks it out he would probably start with manipulation before drilling. If he determines it's not a good manipulation prospect for one reason or another you can bet he's right. Even if he drills it will be a neat and repairable job. Drilling to open does not ruin a safe when the job is done by someone who knoews how to do it properly. Assuming a safe technician is experienced and competent it's not the best idea to try and stipulate which opening process he or she must use. You buy the result, not the process.
