Marie, My friend just moved into an old building (circa 1901) in Kansas City, Missouri, and he has a similar safe! The number on the dial is different, and the safe appears to be small and circular, but it sounds the same. The Lowrie S. & L. Co N.Y. is also on the dial. I was wondering if you knew anything about the company. Since he's moved in I've be curious as to how to find the combination to his safe--the owners of the building have said that nobody they've talked to knows any of the combinations to any of the safes in the building.
